After the success of our reunions at Bow School in 2023 and 2024, we had more or less decided to give 2025 a miss. We then received the news that Durham School would cease to operate from the Bow site with effect from July this year, which has elicited a change of heart.

 

Therefore, to celebrate the 140 year history of Bow School on the site, we WILL hold a reunion "wake" for all Old Bowites who wish to attend on Saturday 5th April, coffee from 11.30, buffet lunch from 1pm and a chance to tour the school and take photos and say goodbye to the building. We are hoping to have permission to make a short film for those unable to be present and for archives and plans are afoot to produce a blue plaque or similar to mark the end of an era. 

 

There is already significant interest from Old Bowites of all ages so, if you intend to be present, please  let one of us, or Andrew Beales at Durham School, know as soon as possible. If there are too many to accommodate in the Dining Room we will have the use of the Adamson Hall as well. 

 

In addition, the school (Durham) will be holding a cricket match (provisionally OB's v Old Choristers) on Sunday 22nd June at Bow. If you want to play, please let Mr Beales know asap. 

 

I do hope we can say goodbye to Bow in a truly memorable way.
